Book Blurb: When Addison Greyer, a happily married mother of three, decides to re-enter the workforce, she never once considers that taking a job might unravel everything she thinks to be true about her life—that it would cause her to look deep within and confront fears she didn’t know existed. She couldn’t have foreseen how a chance meeting or a single day can change the course of an entire lifetime.

Like many women, Addison is defined in terms of marriage and motherhood, until she suddenly finds her life turned upside down by her husband’s decision to take a job thousands of miles away. When her tough-as-nails boss offers her an opportunity she can’t refuse, Addie is forced to make difficult choices. Those choices take her further and further out of the carefully crafted fairytale life she has created and lead her into an unknown world where things are anything but black and white: a world where she learns that desire is not only dangerous but deadly. In this world, all bets are off as she is forced to finally confront her past. As her past and present collide, she has to make decisions that for most are unthinkable, decisions that can tear her family apart, and perhaps even have fatal consequences.

Bedrock is a love story designed to showcase how the choices we make ultimately shape our lives. It serves as a reminder that in the end what defines us is not the big events, the monumental occasions. It’s the tiny, seemingly inconsequential moments in between. It’s proof that time passes and we cannot, no matter how hard we try, get it back. Bedrock is a story of love and grief that pretty much sums up the context of the human experience.

My Rant: Bedrock completely rocked me.
In the beginning of the book you don’t get to ease your way into the plot the author begins the book with an explosion of action and your left wondering how the hell did Addison get herself into this position and what in the world is going on. You open the book and the author is pulling at your emotions with a simple hook that doesn’t seem to relent, you begin to get dragged into the story and at this point there is no turning back because you are committed.

The author takes you on this erotic journey by taking you back into time. During this journey you begin to build a connection with Addison. You feel for her because of how she had to walk through life (sniffle). I wont say that her life was that bad but it wasn’t good either. Sometimes the verbal or emotional abuse hurts more than actual blows. The author lays Addison bare to you. Addison is smart, caring and has her life all planned out because she is focused. So when she meets Patrick you can see why he was smitten with her.

I have to admit Patrick was dreamy but the things he did to Addison at the beginning of their relationship made me want to punch him straight in the head, I mean the one where the real brain is laying around in, LOL. Patrick and Addison seem to be the perfect pair. When they come together there is an erotic explosion that is so undeniable that you get caught up in the world wind of it and all I can say at this point is that you need to sit back and enjoy the ride.

I began to feel like this was a dream come true until the ish began to hit the fan in this story. I am completely torn… completely. There are so many twist in the story I cant tell which one I want to follow the most because they are all at the extreme level.  There are all kinds of emotions being displayed in this book. What I really enjoyed about it, is that it wasn’t just from the main characters. Some how the author gave voice to  all the characters and it was a refreshing feeling, because you connect with each of them so easily. You get to see their private most hidden feelings and I loved every moment of it.

When William steps on the scene you begin to question Addison actions, you even begin to think that maybe just maybe Patrick is not the right guy to be with Addison but there's that tugging again that tells you that you cant get rid of him so easily because Patrick has made his way into your heart.

I love the authors writing style and characters because she completely keeps your attention on the characters and there feelings. It was so hard to put this book down completely. I was emotional, engaged, intrigued and submitting to the unthinkable at the authors will.

My Recommendation:

I was rocked by this story and rated it 4 out of 5 purple rant hearts. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a good erotica story with one tornado blaring twist.

Author Bio:

I'm married to a man I adore (when he isn’t driving me crazy) and am the mother of FIVE amazing kids, who (surprise!) also have a habit of driving me crazy. My best guess is that it’s genetic. In addition, I founded a local network for women in 2012, which has grown to almost 700 members. But to further prove that I may in fact be certifiably insane, I'm scheduled to publish my debut novel entitled, Bedrock in May of 2013. Then and only then, will I consider my training to be an expert (life) juggler complete.
