Synopsis:  After surviving a devastating car accident that took her father's life, Bryn Woods feels like she has nothing left in her hometown of Savannah, GA. Along with losing her father, her boyfriend, Tyler, unexpectedly leaves town the same time of the accident. Feeling alone, broke and confused, Bryn leaves Savannah for college in New York City to escape her heartbreak.

Four years later, Bryn returns to Savannah to live in her childhood home. Slowly, she begins to let the people of her past back into her life. She lets the protective walls she's built to protect herself crash down around her. As she begins to find love again with Tyler, secrets start to unravel themselves about his past. Tyler has secrets of his own. Secrets connected to the death of Bryn's father. Secrets Tyler didn't even know he kept.
My Rant:
This book tugged at my emotions. The main character Bryn looses a lot in the beginning and these tragic events leaves her feeling like she was abandon by the people she thought would be by her side the most. Honestly from the beginning I felt that she and Tyler had something special between them and why he up and left they way he did left such a void in Bryn.
From the beginning I am crying my eyeballs out. Literally because the storyline was so emotional but I am not only teary eyed because it is such a sad story, I am mad so mad that I could not come to grips that at this point Tyler was completely on my sugar honey ice tea list.
Watching him tear a whole in Bryn was so hard but he was not the only person to blame. Charlotte, Tyler and Bryn where close that you would not think that they would just walk away with out a text email or phone call. The mystery in the back-story keeps you interest peaked.
When Bryn moves back to savannah to face her past, your torn gain emotional. I mean this author is really working me over at this point. When Tyler comes back into the picture I am so upset at him that I cant think straight when Bryn completely takes him back in and opens her heart up to him again. I am screaming at Bryn this Guy broke your heart and your taking him back like it didn’t even happen. Really?  But as you get further into the story you can’t help it that Tyler is slowly begin to warm your heart like the true romantic he should have been form the beginning.
The whole time I am reading this story I feel like there is something that’s leering about this story and the author does a good job at keeping it hidden until the point of reveal. The unraveling to mystery of why Tyler left completely shocked me because I did not see that coming at all. I can say it was easy to connect to Bryn and her pain and work with her through her issues, which made this book a complete soul shaking, tear jerking, heart pumping emotional ride.

My Recommendation:
I rated this book 3 ½  out of 5 purple Rant Hearts.

Alexandria Rhodes is a first time novelist from the good old state of Ohio. She is a recent college graduate with a degree in English and Creative Writing. Alexandria has always known she needed to write and has been doing so ever since she bought a typewriter at a garage sale when she was nine. With hundreds of pages of plot ideas, scripts and character descriptions, it is no surprise that she finally came around to writing a book. Alexandria enjoys reading, writing, reviewing, spending time with family, tweeting (a little too much) and traveling, especially to Savannah, GA and New York City. Her writing is heavily influenced by her surroundings and the people in her life. She hopes that her stories will touch the hearts of her readers.
