Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers Series) by Tara Sivec

The book is about a women name Claire, who vowed to remain child free to avoid the hardships of motherhood. On a whim her life was turned upside down when a one night stand with a man whose name she doesn’t know, leaves her with an unexpected bundle of joy to raise on her own. In order to provide for her child Claire dropped out of college and moves back home to assist her friend in the unknown territory of selling sex toys.  During a night working at a bar Claire finally comes face to face with her mystery man (Carter), also known as the baby’s daddy.  Claire is shocked by the fact that he does not remember her, and she is reluctant to tell him about the one night stand and child they made together.

On accident Carter find out that Claire was the one night stand he subconsciously could not forget, and that he had a four year old son named Gaven.  Carter and Claire decide to try and make the relationship work between them but they were not prepared for the bumps in the road along the way.

I really enjoyed this book, not only because it was romantically funny but it touched on everyday life experience we all have as adults and especially those experiences that are incorporated with children. I felt like I could connect with Claire and her struggles of being a single mother with a son. As we all know mothers are experienced with little girls because we were little girls but when you have boys there are things you are not experience in and the need for a man help is much appreciated.  For example: what do you do when you’re 4 year old son has a boner , doesn’t understand why it tingles and wants to show it and explain it to everyone in the world.  This book was laugh out loud funny. I mean the humor was so on point and unexpected throughout the book that my family started giving me the evil eye because I was laughing so hard and loud I could have bust their ear drums. My favorite character in the book was Gavin. Claire and Carter were also funny in their antics but it was Gavin’s behavior and foul-mouth that kept me cracking up. Kids do and say the darnest things and the author  captured those events carefully in this book.

I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone that loves a little humor with their romance.
