What is this book about? Young Amelia happens to be the mistress to Prince Rowan. After leaving their secret meeting she is kidnapped and taken to King Josef’s kingdom were she would be a servant or perhaps food to his people. At first glance king Josef is mitten with Amelia and makes her his direct servant. Sparks begin to ignite in their relationship until Amelia is face to face with her old lover, who is now King Rowan. Emotions between Rowan and Amelia begin to surface. Amelia makes a decision that will change the course of each lover’s life forever.

My Rant: I completely enjoyed this book. The book starts off erotic. You are caught in the flame of passion between Amelia and Rowan immediately and you’re starting the beginning of the book with a pounding heart. Prince Rowan is royally sexy but when you think he would be the leading man in this romance series you are taken for a twist and King Joseph steps in and makes the first steamy scene look like child’s play against his romantic flair. The man is a wolf need I say more. LOL.

“You want it now, do you? He whispered, noticing my enjoyment.

I couldn’t help blush. What was I to do? I wanted it. I wanted it badly but to admit that’s seemed wrong. Maybe even evil. Yet here I was, squirming anxiously under him as he used my body for his own satisfaction.”

There is mischief in the mist because everyone is plotting something and you kind of know who it is but what you don’t expect is the killer ending. Honestly, I was completely shocked because I could not see that coming from a mile away. During this book I was on Amelia side. She was the weakest and most fragile in the story but at the end I wanted to wrap my hand around her neck, seriously. Amelia redeems herself a little but what left me wanting more was the little surprise that joined both kingdoms under her rule.

“I was once a weak servant girl. Now I was the Wolf Queen, conqueror of the man-king and mother to the ruler of both kingdoms".

My Recommendation:

I rated this book 3 ½ out of 5 purple Rant Hearts. This was such a short but quick read and I enjoyed it. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys short Paranormal Romance stories.
