Book Blurb: Love and Lists is the first book in the Chocolate Lovers spinoff Chocoholics: The foul mouthed offspring tell their stories.

Twenty five year old Gavin Ellis has always had the love and support of his family ever since he was a little boy and couldn't stop talking about his penis. He's also always had their unsolicited advice and uncanny knack of embarrassing him at all costs. Now that he's an adult and trying to convince the love of his life to love him back, things haven't changed very much from when he was younger.

When Gavin's best friend Tyler suggests he make a todo list of items that will ensure he wins the girl, Gavin is one hundred percent on board: after a few six packs.

After puking in the shrubs, a bad experience with Viagra, a SexEd course gone wrong, and a slew of other mishaps courtesy of his family and friends, Gavin is pretty sure this list will be the death of him.

Sometimes, trying to make someone love you with a list isn't always the best idea. Especially when "Show her your penis" is the first "todo" item...

My Rant:

Hilarious, I laughed so hard that I almost peed my self seriously. Gavin and the band of misfits strikes again. Tara really has a knack for writing romantic comedies. I really don't know where she comes up with this stuff but it is rib busting funny. What I loved about this story is that the comedy was on point but you also have an amazing love story in the mist.
Gavin has been in love with his best friend Charlotte ( Liz daughter) for a long time but the irony to it all is that he is unable to tell Charlotte what he feels for her because he is afraid of her rejecting him. so he enlist the help of his friend Tyler, who by the way reminds me of a complete replica of drew. Tyler is the type of guy that has no filter what so ever and the things that come out of his mouth are somewhat unbelievable. But the one thing I can say is that Tyler has Gavin's back when it comes to helping his friend get the girl he so desperately wants. Tyler comes up with a list that is suppose to land Charlotte right in Gavin's lap, figuratively speaking. As Gavin begins to initiate the list you have hope that it might actually work, but Tara Sivec is not having non of that. How much fun would it be if the list worked right. LMAO. Gavin is trying really hard to make it all work out but the list is turning into a disaster. Finally the sex experts Drew and Jenny get involve to add their two cents to the list and just when you think its safe thing begin to spiral more out of control. I mean going form puking to hair pulling, Viagra erections and being naked and afraid, Carter thinking Gavin is gay and showing Charlotte his nuts seems to be just the icing on the cake. The list seems to be separating the sane from the insane and at this point all the characters in this book are hilariously insane.

50% in the books takes an interesting turn. It turns out that Gavin isn't the only one with a list. Charlotte is in love with him also and she trying hard to express that love to him by caring out a list that she and Rocco her best friend, who happens to be pretending to be her boyfriend create and once again the list is creating more erratic issues. In order to get more information on what going on with both Gavin and Charlotte both Tyler and Ava hook up to see if they can tip the scale on either side. Claire and Liz want Gavin and Charlotte together. I mean their basically ecstatic but Charlotte and Gavin have to figure out that the best thing for the both of them is to tell each other how they feel about one another.  I have to admit, I don't want the lists to end. LOL. Finally when the truth is out you have no chose but to swoon over the ending. Gavin and Charlotte are perfect for each other.

Tara's writing style is amazing, she really should do  stand up comedy because she has the talent for it. She draws you into the story and you fall in love with all the characters. It was good to see Claire, Carter, Liz and the other characters from the chocolate lovers series in the chocoholic series. They are a crazy bunch, so crazy I am questioning my own sanity. I am so looking forward to the next installment to the series. Tara you totally rock.

My Recommendation:

I rated this book 5 out of 5 Purple Rant Hearts and I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a good romantic comedy with rib cracking humor.
