Blurb/Synopsis: Aidan Roux fled New Orleans fifteen years ago, leaving behind a woman he loved. Planning to keep it light because he has no intentions of sticking around, he’s caught off guard by his mother’s health crisis. Forced to stay, he challenges Stacey to be his lover for February with no expectations of anything else.

Stacey never stopped wanting Aidan, but she’s not a girl anymore and she meets his proposition with one of her own. A hero, just back from Afghanistan, he’s the perfect guy for her calendar contest. If he wants her in his bed, he’ll pose for her camera.

Stacey and Aidan seem made for each other—but old hurts cannot be forgotten and love isn’t always enough…

FTC Disclosure: I received this book for free from the author, editor, publisher, or Promo Host. This is my honest opinion about this book and I did not receive any monetary compensation for writing this review nor was I obligated to write a positive one

My Rant:  Aidan and Stacey completely light up the scene. Aidan has to face the fear of coming back home to answer to his mother but along the way he runs into an Old friend that sparks old memories. He has this tough exterior although he is sweet at heart. Stacey turns his world upside down. it is almost as if he is no longer the man he has become. He feels for her and in some ways has longed for her and their broken relationship but through out the story he cannot bring himself to admit that this is more than just and average seasonal fling. Stacey is very strong and opinionated she has worked hard for her career and success and she not willing to throw that all away but Aidan makes her question her own motives. The banter between the characters is sweet but hilarious at time because both characters don't have any filter when it comes down to their arrangement. They are truly real friends at heart but when you read this story you feel that the friendship is much deeper than it is but there is a lot of emotions that influence the behavior of the characters. Their is a lot of hurt that is unsaid between the two but for different reason. Aidan had built a wall that is hard to penetrate and no one is allowed in unless it is on his terms. That shut down is heart breaking. Both characters are broken in some form and watching them piece it together is takes your breath away. The intimacy and romance between the two former lovers strikes a flame that ignites into pure need, lust and love,  the pure excitement of the story has you turning the pages so fast before you know if you are at the end. I really enjoyed this story, February Lover was short, sweet, intriguing and worth the read.

My Recommendation:

I rated this book 3 1/2 out of 5 Purple Rant Hearts and I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a complicated contemporary romance story.

As a teenager, I would hide in my room to read my favorite romance novels when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I hope, these days, that my parents think it was worth it. I am the mother of three adorable boys and I am fortunate to be married to my best friend. We live in northern New Jersey and try not to freeze too badly during the winter months. I am in love with science fiction, fantasy, and the paranormal and try to use all of these elements in my writing. I've been told I'm a little bloodthirsty so I hope that when you read my work you'll enjoy the action packed ride that always ends in romance. I love to write series because I love to see characters develop over time and it always makes me happy to see my favorite characters make guest appearances in other books.
In my world anything is possible, anything can happen, and you should suspect that it will.
I'd love to hear from you!
Cheers!!
