Blurb/Synopsis: He wrote a comedy. Fate directed a romance.
Drew Beaumont is bored of the same old roles: action hero, supervillain, romantic lead. He’s not going to let a fresh gay buddy comedy languish just because they can’t find him the right costar. No, Drew bats his eyelashes and convinces everyone that the movie’s writer should play Drew’s not-so-straight man.
Aspiring writer Steve Sopol has never had a screenplay optioned. Now one of Hollywood’s hottest properties wants to be in a movie Steve hasn’t finished writing— and he wants Steve as his costar. Turns out the chemistry between them is undeniable—on and off-screen.
Drew swore off dating in the biz, but Steve is the whole package: sharp, funny, humble, and cute. For Steve, though, giving in to the movie magic means the end of the privacy he cherishes. Will the credits roll before their ride into the sunset?

My Rant:
His Leading Man was a very tantalizing and tasteful read. The characters were very vivid ,humorous yet real in more ways that one but most of all, you could connect to the them as the story unfolds. Drew and Steve just seem to be perfect for each other as the story builds. You watch them go through many stages of friendship, companionship to lovers. This story reminds me that love is not always in the form we think it's going to be in, but when you just let things flow naturally you will be shocked by the things you uncover, things that fit in your heart when you think they wont.
Not only did the author capture the purity of the characters she made you fall in love with every aspects of them and the story. It was intriguing to read a story that was out of my element. I am normally a vampire or bad boy type of girl but Drew and Steve's story hooked me in especially since it contained an environment of writer, actors and agents.
From a sensible side Ashley made the characters lives simple yet complex, real and easy tob relate to me as the reader. I could connect to the emotions of the characters, literally, I giggled, smiled, blushed and got teary eyed while reading the story. Her writing flowed with with such ease I got lost in Drew and Steve's world effortlessly. Ashley capture pure romance at every angle beautifully. I enjoyed this story and I look forward to read more by Ashley Kane.
My Recommendation:
I rated this book 4 out of 5 Purple Hearts and I would recommend it to anyone that loves a satisfying MM Romance.

ASHLYN KANE is a Canadian former expat and current hockey fan. She is a writer, editor, handyperson, dog mom, and friend—sometimes all at once.
On any given day she can usually be found walking her ninety-pound baby chocolate lapdog, Indy, or holed up in her office avoiding housework. She has a deep and abiding love of romance novel tropes, a habit of dropping too many f-bombs, and—fortunately—a very forgiving family.
